12 Actors Who Admitted Doing A Movie Purely For The Money

9. Paul Bettany - J.A.R.V.I.S (Marvel Cinematic Universe)

Paul Bettany always seemed a little bemused when talking about his role as J.A.R.V.I.S - Tony Stark's A.I. system - in the Marvel movies. He admitted that he didn€™t watch the films or have any real interest in them. All he knew was that occasionally he€™d get a call to go into a studio, record a few lines and then an hour later he€™d walk out with a bag full of cash. He compared it to robbery and even admitted to feeling guilty about being so well paid for doing very little. He may have derailed his own gravity train with that statement though, as someone at Marvel head office must have been listening. He got a substantial role increase when he played The Vision in Avengers: Age Of Ultron, which involved extensive make-up and stunt work. He probably should have kept his mouth shut while the going was good.

Handsome. Charismatic. Intelligent. Noble. Witty. I'm none of these things, but I'm a half decent writer, I guess.
