12 Actors Who Are About To Make A Huge Comeback

6. Eddie Murphy

By rights, Eddie Murphy SHOULD have seen his revival begun off the back of his exceptional performance in Dreamgirls, but in the decade since, his most notable work has been Shrek The Third and its follow-up. He's been good in a terrible movie since then - Mr Church - but everything else has looked like treading water.

But hopefully, the tide will turn for Murphy with Netflix's biographical-dramedy Dolemite Is My Name, in which he will play the notorious father of blaxploitation movies Rudy Ray Moore, whose most famous creation was the pimp character Dolemite.

Hopefully, this opportunity to play a real-life figure will help him recapture the same form he showed in Dreamgirls. And as an added bonus, if the film works out, we might see co-star Wesley Snipes get an uplift in professional fortunes too. Lord knows he needs it as well.
