12 Actors Who Basically Guarantee You Make A Flop

8. Shia LaBeouf

Shia LaBeouf is something of an exception on this list: by typical standards, he doesn't guarantee a box office flop at all. Look at the sheer number of hits in his filmography: i, Robot (albeit a cameo role), The Greatest Game Ever Played, Constantine, Disturbia, the Transformers trilogy, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Eagle Eye, Wall Street 2, Lawless and Nymphomaniac. By comparison, his flops are pretty minimal: Bobby, A Guide to Recognising Your Saints, Surf's Up, New York, I Love You, The Company You Keep and Charlie Countryman, and the majority of these are art-house flicks which were never going to ignite the box office anyway. So, what is it that makes LaBeouf a flop? Why Is He A Flop? LaBeouf is one of those few actors whose erratic personal behaviour has become so prolifically irritating to audiences that they're just not interested in seeing him on screen anymore. Since leaving the Transformers franchise, his career hasn't exactly been a string of box office dynamite, a combination of his choice to do more artistic fare and the fact that people just aren't fussed about him. His upcoming war flick Fury will likely be his biggest hit in a while, though that'll mostly be because of the Brad Pitt factor, and audiences will simply put up with LaBeouf's presence. As for the future? The actor's slate is completely empty, so we'll have to wait and see...
