9. Ad-Rock - The Doors

If you're familiar with the name Ad-Rock (AKA Adam Keefe Horovitz), you'll probably be most likely to know him as one part of iconic group The Beastie Boys, but he's also turned his hand to acting over the years. He started way back in 1989 in Lost Angels and then a year later, he got himself an audition for Oliver Stone's The Doors biopic.

Unfortunately, it didn't go well, because Ad-Rock was "definitely stoned" and knew immediately that he wasn't right for the part as he told the New York Times:

“I was definitely stoned, and as I walked in I looked at him and I was like, ‘You’re not going to cast me in this movie, right?’ He’s like, ‘No, I don’t think so.’”

It wasn't the end of his acting career though and he's since turned up in the likes of A Kiss Before Dying, While We're Young and Golden Exits.
