12 Amazing Premises Wasted On Underwhelming Horror Films

8. Triangle

Premise: A woman tries to escape a killer on an abandoned cruise ship while trapped in a time loop.

If you want to see a time-loop horror film done well, check out Happy Death Day. That might not be a great film but it is a solid one and thankfully it's considerably better than this nonsensical misfire.

Triangle starts with promise (just like many of the films on this list) but just gets stupider and stupider as it goes along and fails to ever really be scary.

It also resembles the time loop at the centre of its story in the worst possible way. It's repetitive as hell and by the time it ends nothing has really changed, making this a thoroughly unsatisfying viewing experience.

The film's R-rating and Melissa George's strong leading performance keep it watchable up to a point, but for the most part this is just pretty bloody annoying.
