12 Awful Movie Make-Up Fails That Were Horribly Distracting

3. The McFlys - Back To The Future II

The Desired Effect: The future! The Actual Effect: Bottox car salesmen. Doc Brown's make-up problems were one thing, but almost every attempt to age the younger members of the cast in the future sequences of Back To The Future II are comically bad. Somehow ignoring the fact that they had already made Crispin Glover look like a convincing middle-aged man twice in the first Back To The Future film, the make-up team of the sequel tried to go too clever, and used a lot of prosthetics, and too little restraint, and created nightmarish waxy faced versions of Marty, Jennifer and Lorraine. They didn't look old really, just like they'd been pushed through a fun house mirror from a bizarro alternate reality.
