7. You Ever Dance With The Devil In The Pale Moonlight? Batman (1989)
The Joker was far more playful than threatening when played by Cesar Romero in the 1960s television series. It did not take Jack Nicholson long to preserve that playful attitude while adding his own far more sinister twist. The Joker harasses and intimidates his former boss, Carl Grissom (Jack Palance), before killing him for a previous betrayal. Of course, this is The Joker, so we see that this murder is just as much about fun as it is vengeance, if not more so. The Joker has a blast, firing his gun wildly with no regard for what hell hit, aside from making sure at least one fatal shot enters Grissoms body. The scene is filmed perfectly as well. At first, The Jokers white face is mostly covered in shadow as he acts more like his former self, mobster Jack Napier. He then steps into the light, showing his new look and identity in full view, with crazy behavior to match. Jack Napier is dead, long live The Joker!
