12 Biggest MCU Characters Without A Confirmed Return Date

8. The Eternals

Right now the Eternals don’t really seem to fit anywhere in particular in the MCU. There were plenty of wider MCU references throughout the movie, and Tiamut has been referenced since, though only in one blink-and-you’ll-miss-it She-Hulk reference, but what does their future hold?

The post-credit scene suggested that Dane Whitman will show up alongside Blade in 2023, but what about the Eternals themselves? They are either scattered or dead, and with Eros and Pip the Troll traveling with Makkari, Druig, and Thena, who knows where the Domo will take them next?

Just like Moon Knight’s most likely next step would be a second season, the Eternals' could be a second movie. The story was left at such a volatile point that there would be too much to get through to bring them back together in a movie in which they weren’t the sole focal point.

Hopefully, with the alien race now established in the MCU, a second movie could be free of having to introduce more than ten characters, three races, and 7,000 years of history and just tell a great story, of course leading into their joining the fight against Kang.
