12 Biggest MCU Characters Without A Confirmed Return Date

The introduction to this article gave the caveat that it would only include characters that will actually return to the franchise. Steve Rogers won’t be on the list as he will likely never be returning to the MCU, and, for obvious reasons, neither will Tony Stark or Natasha Romanoff.

After Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, some fans may have fallen for Marvel Studios’ trick of ‘killing’ the Scarlet Witch by having her crushed under the rubble of Mount Wundagore. However, there are so many reasons to believe this wasn’t the case.

Firstly, we never saw the body, and, as by said Bane in the Dark Knight Rises, there can be no proof that she is in fact dead. Surely a character as great as Wanda Maximoff would never be killed off in such an unceremonious way anyway, leaving many to believe she will be back, even if it is as a Variant of some kind. Wilson Fisk was seemingly killed off in Hawkeye, but he’ll be back for Echo and Daredevil: Born Again, so why not Wanda?

Many fans were disappointed that there wasn’t a solo Scarlet Witch movie announced at D23, as it seems this may be the way forward. After her villainous turn, she has a hell of a lot of explaining to do before she can join back up with the Avengers.
