12 Controversial Horror Movies That Shocked The World
4. The Human Centipede
Most horror films are quite bad but at least they are entertainingly bad. The Human Centipede however, decides to forego all notions of entertainment by going out of its way purely to shock and revolt viewers. The whole film is initially set up like a typical cliche horror film. Two female tourists break down on some random road before getting drugged and kidnapped by an insane doctor after trying to get help. From that point though, the horror takes on a new level of repulsiveness when the two girls (and another male character) are sewn from anus to mouth. Needless to say there wasn't much artistic merit to a film that was promoted as '100% medically accurate'. The film's disturbing content and its place in the horror genre was probably best described by the late Roger Ebert: "Is the movie good? Is it bad? Does it matter? It is what it is and occupies a world where the stars don't shine."
My life story is nothing special. I haven't cured ebola, I'm nowhere near stopping terrorism, and I'm still working on that climate change problem.
Instead, all I've done so far is put a few hundred words together in an attempt to make people laugh.
