It was a big day for Disney related news, as Disney's Investor Day took place on 10th December. Announced were a veritable tonne of new series, films and news updates. There are separate lists for the Marvel and Star Wars updates (seriously, that's how many updates there were!) so compiled here is the best of the rest.

From live-action sequels to animated films, Disney is going to be VERY busy over the next few years. Almost all of the properties listed below will be premiering to Disney+, though there are other platforms - such as Hulu - that will be getting some of this tonne of content as well.

There seems to be a little for everyone that's been announced so, let's dive right in!

12. A Diary Of A Wimpy Kid Film

The enormous book series Diary of a Wimpy Kid has already been adapted into several very successful films by 20th Century Fox, which means that the property has passed into Disney's hands. Never one to sit on a lucrative property, Disney displayed the art for the upcoming series, designed in a style that mimics the animation in Jeff Kinney's books.

A Diary of a Wimpy Kid features protagonist Greg Heffley, a weak middle-school student who writes his diary, animating his daily adventures in simple art styles. Since the publication of the first book in 2004, the series has been a massive success, with more than 250million copies sold worldwide.

The first, second, fourth and ninth books have been adapted to film already. The first book was released online on FunBrain, before then appearing as a hardcover copy.

The new film will have a 3D Animated style and as yet there is no debut date released.
