12 Iconic Story-Lines DC Film Universe Must Adapt Next
3. The Hiketeia
Who's to say that Batman V Superman will be the only time the members of the Justice Legaue come to blows? Besides the Justice League story Tower Of Babel that sees the rest of the team pitched against Batman, DC superheroes have less of a tendency to scrap over a misunderstanding in the same way their Marvel peers do. Which means that whenever they do, it's something to write home about or something to adapt into a million dollar motion picture. Which Warner Bros should absolutely do with The Hiketeia, another classic Wonder Woman story by Greg Rucka, this time with art by JG Jones. This was actually Rucka's first work featuring the character, but it's one of the best not least of which is down to the iconic image of Wonder Woman with her foot on Batman's head, warning him not to get up. So, Batman V Wonder Woman: The Hiketeia, huh? Or maybe another name that more people can pronounce. Either way, it would be amazing to see this story as a film: Batman doesn't show up 'til about halfway through, but even before that it's a classic Greek tragedy about Wonder Woman bound by an ancient curse to protect a woman who killed the drug dealers that murdered her sister. Strong, heady stuff.
