A few Marvel stars have a dud horror sequel or two in their past, but the Hulk went one better by playing two entirely unrelated characters in two different sequels from the same franchise.

Unrelated to the Julia Roberts reimagining of Snow White with the same name, the original 1990 Mirror, Mirror was an underrated female-led horror about a teen goth outcast and her demonically-possessed mirror.

The mirror returned, but not the cast and crew, for Mirror, Mirror II: Raven Dance. In this vastly inferior sequel the mirror shows up in a catholic nunnery for reasons unexplained, at which point its vengeful demonic powers fall into the hands of an orphan girl.

There's an evil stepsister, repeated magical blindings, weird mirror licking, a stained glass window coming to life in a scene ripped straight off Young Sherlock Holmes and, as promised by the title, both ravens and a lot of dance sequences.

Ruffalo appears as the bad boy who lurks around the convent, seemingly coming and going with little reason. Something supernatural or just the lack of a coherent script? You decide.

The Strongest Avenger obviously impressed sufficiently to be invited back for Mirror, Mirror III: The Voyeur where he was implausibly cast as the brother of cult horror actor Billy Drago (a man 22 years his senior).

Drago, whose creepy looks have landed him a career playing murderers and demons, was a producer on Mirror, Mirror III, which is possibly the only explanation for why this sequel turned out to be a slice of plotless softcore erotica with Drago getting repeated sex scenes with far more attractive women. Ruffalo fans may or may not be disappointed to know that he has no similar scenes.
