12 LGBTQ Comic Book Characters Ready For Live-Action Adaptation
2. Catman
This recent version of Catman is much more threatening and capable than his previous incarnations: he has no superpowers to speak of but he is near Olympic levels of fitness. He has been shown in mutual attraction with heroes like the huntress and his close friendship with other male teammates made readers begin to question his sexuality. Subsequently, the writer, Simone, has confirmed that Catman is bisexual.
Catman is the kind of character that could appear as a villain or hero for whatever interpretation they need him to be. This is another character that could be dropped into future versions of DC’s Suicide Squad, as a more likeable villain type.
His name is obviously related to the Batman but even that could be easily altered. With shows like Gotham on Fox, the expanding DC movie universe and other shows like Supergirl popping up on our televisions, you would not be hard pressed to find a guest spot for Catman to make his live action debut.
Casting Options
You would need the equivalent of a Chris Hemsworth type hunk to play this role. Perhaps someone like Jensen Ackles or Garrett Hedlund
