12 LGBTQ Comic Book Characters Ready For Live-Action Adaptation

6. Moodragon

Ultimate Spider-Woman
Marvel Comics

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy was one of the most successful movies of the past decade and we already there is going to be at least one sequel to it coming down the pipeline. The team roster they chose for the movie was a very stream-lined version of the actual team in the comics, cutting out the likes of Moondragon who was a full member of the Guardians at one point.

She is an openly bisexual character and has had relationships with various characters but her most important relationship was with Phya-Vell, another female member of the Guardians of the Galaxy they could introduce.

Moondragon has powerful psychokinetic abilities and is an expert in martial arts. Every character has to be able to kick ass in the movies, right? She is also somewhat of an arrogant manipulator when it comes to other people.

This is the type of character that could really set Chris Pratt’s Peter Quill and the gang back on their heels if she ever made it on screen. Also her psychic abilities would help diversify a team that mainly made up of just talented fighters. Moondragon could give them someone with actual super powers.

Casting Options

This may seem like an easy pick because of her recent turn as the bald bad-ass Furiosa, but Charlize Theron would be a top choice for this role.
