12 Live-Action Anime Projects You Didn’t Know Were Happening

It's safe to say that Andy Muschietti is in a precarious position right now. The Argentinian filmmaker burst onto the scene with two big horror hits, Mama and IT. It seems Warner Bros. and DC saw his potential and brought him in to handle the direction of The Flash. Muschietti was on top of the world.

But then, of course, this whole Ezra Miller mess happened, and now his Flash movie will be under-advertised at best and completely cancelled at worst. Still, at least he has chosen the incredibly reliable and consistent avenue of live-action anime adaptation for his next big project. Oh god, the poor man!

AOT is arguably the biggest modern anime and is currently on the cusp of its final season, so there's a lot of pressure on any adaptation. However, as announced by Variety in 2018, it seems Muschietti (alongside producers David Heyman, Masi Oka and Barbara Muschietti) is keen to give it a go for Warner Bros.

It won't be the first time the land of Titans and Omni-directional gear was brought to live-action, as there is a two-part Japanese movie series. Let's just say, if those films are anything to go by, then AOT fans need to be very concerned.
