During World II, Nick Fury ran a military unit called The Howling Commandos. Although few Marvel fans could name every member, there are two that are a piece of cake to identify - Dum Dum Dugan and James Falsworth, better-known as Union Jack. Because Dugan is the only person running around a battlefield while wearing a bowler hat, he's easy to spot. Since Union Jack dons a skintight suit, brandishing the Union Jack flag, he seems impossible to miss.

And yet, even the most attentive viewers didn't notice Falsworth in Captain America: The First America. Why is this? Well, the esteemed lieutenant never wears his iconic costume (which makes sense, since wearing a costume with a red flag emblazoned on the front doesn't exactly scream "stealth").

But another reason why the most dedicated Marvel fans didn't notice Falsworth is... he doesn't look anything like him. For some reason, Falsworth is unmistakably modelled on another Howling Commando called Percival Pinkerton, since both characters have a wispy moustache and a red beret. If it wasn't for the tiny UK flag on his hat, you would never guess this soldier was meant to be Union Jack.
