Because Guardians of the Galaxy has an abundance of characters, most of the actors only have a small window of time to showcase their talents. Thankfully, performers like Benicio Del Toro, Karen Gillan, and John C. Reilly do well in their roles, despite appearing for a couple of minutes.

Sadly, the same cannot be said about Djimon Hounsou's character, Korath the Pursuer. In the film's opening, we see the Kree warrior hunting down Star Lord, who's retrieving a dangerous artefact called the Orb.

Even though Korath is a mere henchman, you'd assume the two-time Oscar nominee would use his skills to make his character have more of an impact. But despite Hounsou's efforts, Korath is the most boring character in the film. He doesn't have a distinctive personality. He's not funny. He's just... kind of there.

So, when it was announced Hounsou was reprising the role for Captain Marvel, we were hoping the Beninese actor would get a chance to flesh out the character a bit more. Sadly, Korath was wasted yet again, making his inclusion in the film completely pointless.
