12 MIA Marvel Cinematic Universe Characters Unlikely To Ever Return
2. Betty Ross (Liv Tyler)
As of Endgame’s conclusion, Hulk is something of an odd one out amongst the original Avengers in that he has no clear plot trajectory.
This isn’t exactly new ground for him. The fact that his appearances have been limited to multi-character movies has meant that his personal relationships and demons have barely been examined compared to his counterparts, particularly since his potential romance with Black Widow was shelved after its hasty introduction in Age Of Ultron.
Though they cannot make solo films, Marvel can still make use of Hulk characters, as evidenced by the reappearance of William Hurt’s General Ross in Captain America: Civil War and beyond. His daughter Betty appears to have been wiped from existence, however, having not been mentioned once by her father or her lover since The Incredible Hulk.
The resumption of relationships after fifteen years apart is very rare and any future Hulk appearances are likely to be tied to the emergence of his cousin Jennifer as She-Hulk. Her series will probably incorporate many classic comic characters that have yet to appear on screen because of the Universal complications, but there’s not much reason for Betty to be one of them.
