12 Movie Actors Who Did Awful Things To Their Co-Stars
2. Tommy Lee Jones Relentlessly Berated Jim Carrey - Batman Forever
Tommy Lee Jones has a reputation for being hard to work with, and there's a sense that he takes himself - and the movie business - quite seriously. But that doesn't excuse the way that he treated poor old Jim Carrey on the set of Batman Forever.
In Joel Schumacher's divisive movie, Jones played Two-Face, opposite Carrey's Riddler. They're both pretty entertaining in the roles, especially in their scenes together, though Jim Carrey later recalled that his time on set with Jones was a rather unpleasant affair.
"I was really looking forward to working with Tommy, but he was a little crusty," Carrey explained, citing the fact that Dumb and Dumber did better at the box office than Cobb, a middling Tommy Lee Jones film released at the same time. The actor reportedly told Carrey that "hated" him and didn't want to work on the film, and continued to make life on set difficult for the duration. Not very professional.
