12 Movie Moments That Pissed Off Fans The Most In 2016

Roland Emmerich might be creative when it comes to finding new ways of exploding famous landmarks, but his storytelling skills leave much to be desired. It’s hard to believe it took him two decades to find a good idea for Independence Day 2, especially since the story could have been conceived by a panel of five-year-olds, armed only with crayons, action figures and sugar.

The movie gives us more insight into the goals of the evil aliens, who are on the hunt for some lava. Of course, they need some kind of evil leader, but Emmerich wouldn’t be a lazy hack and just introduce some giant alien queen to explain it all, would he? Even for him, that would show a staggering lack of imagination.

Needless to say that's what happens, and the sheer stupidity of it is almost awe-inspiring.
