4. Fast & Furious Presents: Letty (?)

It was strange when Universal announced that they only intended to make 10 Fast & Furious movies with 8 already in the can, but then they revealed their grand plan for an expanded universe and that led to us all loving (okay, or maybe hating) The Rock and Jason Statham's frankly bonkers Hobbs & Shaw.

On top of that movie (and its inevitable sequel, given the tease of more at the end), we're also getting a female-led spin-off too, which Vin Diesel announced on Instagram...

In a fairly loaded post, his mention of screenwriters Nicole Perlman, Lindsey Beer and Geneva Robertson-Dworet definitely suggests there are concrete plans. Apparently, the film would focus on Michelle Rodriguez's Letty and would inevitably add some big names, possibly including series veterans Eva Mendes, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Gal Gadot.

If it follows the model and goes all-out again, it'll be another strong showing for the hugely popular franchise.
