4. The Next Batman Movie
After Nolan wrapped up his Dark Knight saga, the question on everyone's lips was: where does Batman go from here? Though the Dark Knight will be appearing in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, as played by Ben Affleck, a true test of the rebooted character will be to see how he fares in his own standalone movie, which will reportedly follow a few years after 2016's Dawn of Justice. And just how can anyone manage to out-Nolan Nolan? How's about just parking a truckload of money at Nolan's house, an amount no sane man could refuse, and getting him to make it instead? It would ensure a certain stylistic consistency with his prior trilogy, and solve the problem of finding a director to match his technical virtuosity behind the camera. How Likely Is It?: Next to impossible. Nolan has spent years of his life with Batman and expressed a certain relief that his work in that regard is done. After all, how many times have directors made their fourth film in a series that wasn't totally disappointing? Plus, if Batfleck is to be a semi-reboot of the character, it doesn't make much sense for Nolan to attach himself to it: he would have no critical distance from the project and it would confuse audiences. 1/10.
