5. John Carter
The One With The Awful Marketing.
Following Friends, David Schwimmer's movie career never quite took off. That means, like fellow chum Lisa Kudrow, he has fairly little to be embarrassed about... if only because he never did all that much to begin with. And we certainly weren't going to put the underrated Run Fatboy Run or The Big Nothing on here.
Something else which never really took off: 2012's John Carter. In it, Schwimmer plays CGI alien Young Thark Warrior. Poor Schwimmer doesn't really have much to say or do in the film, but nevertheless, John Carter is far from the massive trash fire its reputation suggests. Sure, it's overly reliant on CGI, and the story is nothing special, but it's a fun little action film with some interesting flourishes to it.
Unfortunately, audiences didn't agree, and the film bombed, giving it the reputation of a massive dud and a turd. John Carter isn't all that bad though - just don't go into it expecting to see much of our one-time Ross from Friends.
