12 Movies You Wrongly Thought Bombed In 2018

Warner Bros.

Budget: $28 million

Box Office: $77.9 million

2018 was a great year for critically and commercially successful studio comedies - led by Game Night and Blockers - yet one that's been routinely dismissed as a dud is the R-rated ensemble comedy Tag.

Though Warner Bros. was clearly hoping it would be their next The Hangover - that is, a gimmicky comedy with easy franchise potential - Tag had a softer-than-expected performance while releasing alongside Incredibles 2.

Still, Tag almost tripled its sensibly slender price tag, so while the studio might not have the energy for a hinted-at sequel, it's totally disingenuous to say the movie flamed-out at the box office.
