Black Panther may have scored far stronger reviews than Green Book - touting an impressive 8.26 average score - but it also landed itself a Best Picture nomination and walked away with three Oscars, so it's fair to say that it was duly recognised by the Academy.

The year's other major MCU movie, though? Not quite so much.

Despite netting four-star reviews from most critics, Avengers: Infinity War received just a single Oscar nomination, for Best Visual Effects (which it lost to First Man).

Even though most critics agreed the film largely lived up to the insane tidal wave of hype, the Academy just couldn't bring themselves to give a Best Picture nomination, let alone a win, to a film about a giant, angry purple man seeking out coloured gems, could they?

But it's clear which film will stand the test of time. Infinity War will still be talked about decades from now, while Green Book will only be brought up in the same derisive fashion that Driving Miss Daisy is nowadays.
