12 Upcoming Movie Sequels Nobody Asked For

9. Angel Has Fallen

London Has Fallen Gerard Butler
Focus Features

Release Date: August 23

Hands up if you knew a third entry into the dubious "...Has Fallen" series had even been shot. 2013's Olympus Has Fallen was an unambitious if mildly amusing "Die Hard in the White House" action flick, but the painfully bad 2016 sequel London Has Fallen categorically proved the franchise prospects were slim at best.

But because aggressive racism apparently sells movie tickets - remember when Gerard Butler's character told that terrorist to "go back to F***headistan" in the last movie? - a threequel, this time set on Air Force One, is due out this summer.

And you know what? It'll probably make made bank and result in another sequel being greenlit. Have mercy. Gerard Butler deserves better, believe it or not.

Could It Be Any Good?: If it invokes the Harrison Ford classic Air Force One as much as humanly possible, then it could be a fun knock-off.

But Aaron Eckhart's not playing the President this time (bummer), even if Morgan Freeman should make for a pretty fine replacement.

To clarify, it's probably going to suck.
