12 Upcoming Movie Sequels Nobody Asked For

It's not so much that people didn't want a Men in Black sequel, but that they didn't want this one.

A few years ago, the Sony Pictures hack revealed that a crossover sequel was in the works which would combine the Men in Black and Jump Street franchises into a demented follow-up entitled MIB 23.

Due to all the red tape involved in getting everyone to play nice, the idea was ultimately scrapped in favour of this decidedly less ambitious reboot-sequel, starring the (admittedly charming) Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson.

Could It Be Any Good?: The first trailer wasn't terribly encouraging, sadly, suggesting a detour into generic, overblown blockbuster territory for a franchise that's never really been known for its modesty.

It'll make money - because of course it will - but reviews from critics will likely be mixed, while if the trailer is any indication, the fan response will be vitriolic.
