12 Upcoming Movies That Will Change Your Mind About Actors You Hate

1. Uncut Gems - Adam Sandler

When you look at Adam Sandler's career fluctuations between honestly brilliant movies like Funny People, The Meyerowirz Stories and Punch Drunk Love and then Grown-Ups, You Don't Mess With The Zohan and The Week Of, it's like watching two different people. It's also difficult to tell whether he even wants to be taken seriously as an actor.

Why would he need to, anyway? He has the safety net of his Netflix deal (which will see another movie, Murder Mystery, pumped out soon) and their reliable audience figures without the concerns for critical maulings affecting box office take. Not that they ever do on his movies anyway. He could do that for the rest of his life, like a talented singer going out to pasture in Las Vegas.

But Sandler still seemingly wants some good press and he has the very interesting looking next project by indie film-makers the Safie brothers. There's not a massive amount of information on the crime drama out there yet, but by virtue of it being different and not having Kevin James on the cast, it's possible we'll actually get a great Sandler performance again.

Which of these movies most excites you? Share your reactions below in the comments thread.
