6. Honey Boy - Shia LaBeouf

Like Jaden Smith, you cannot reasonably claim that Shia LaBeouf doesn't have it in him to be a good actor. In fact, the most frustrating thing is that he could be an EXCELLENT one if he were to take on the right projects and keep his public... antics separate from his professional profile.

But thanks to a series of artistic stunts and the media's portrayal of him as a sort of enfant terrible who took his fame as an opportunity to misbehave (though really, his activism is to be commended a lot of the time), he's a roundly disliked figure. And worse, it means his actual acting ability gets overlooked.

Next up, he has Honey Boy, which looks like something of a vanity project on the surface, since it tells his own life's story, but the actual story in there - of an estranged father and a child actor - is actually pretty compelling. And LaBeouf definitely has the chops to impress.
