12 Worst Casting Decisions In Spider-Man Movies

1. Bryce Dallas Howard As Gwen Stacy (Spider-Man 3)

It's difficult to pinpoint whether Bryce Dallas Howard's performance as Gwen Stacy was actually bad, or merely soured by shared scenes with the horrific emo Peter.

In all honesty, she brings little to the role beyond being doe-eyed and blonde and it's questionable whether she was needed at all, given that the character was introduced before Mary Jane Watson in comic book continuity.

One reboot later and the world would forget this portrayal of Gwen entirely, such was the charisma and heart Emma Stone brought to the role in Amazing Spider-Man.

With the same amount of screen time, we wouldn't put it past Stone to have stolen the show had she been cast in the role in Spider-Man 3.

And if Sam Raimi was given the chance to make more Spider-Man movies back in the day, would anyone have even cared if Dallas Howard was missing from the cast list?
