8. Shaun Takes On Vampires - From Dusk Till Shaun

The Pitch: Last month, Simon Pegg confirmed that he once pitched a Shaun of the Dead sequel to director Edgar Wright, and though he admitted that it was an alcohol-fueled pitch solely in jest, that didn't stop fans enthusiastically endorsing it.

The basic set-up was that it would follow a similar formula to the first movie...but with vampires. Pegg was into the idea enough to write a treatment for Wright, at least. Shaun of the Dead with vampires? Why the hell not?

What Happened?: Pegg and Wright have both been keeping themselves busy with other projects, and considering how meticulously Wright assembles his projects, it's hard to imagine him going all-in on this.

Again, Pegg conceived the idea half-jokingly, which is probably enough for Wright not to go anywhere near it in reality. As Nick Frost would say, shame.
