3. Pedro Pascal Is The Bad Guy - The Equalizer 2

From the trailers alone, it was hilariously obvious that Robert McCall's (Denzel Washington) returning old pal Dave York (Pedro Pascal) would turn out to be the secret villain, and that's precisely what happens.

York is eventually revealed to be the man behind the murder of McCall's longtime friend Susan Plummer (Melissa Leo)...at least a good half-hour after most of the audience has figured it out for themselves.

It's so blindingly obvious, in fact, that it clearly shouldn't have been a plot twist at all. Showing York murdering Susan and then dealing with him directly as a character clearly would've been more effective.

Between this and his role in Kingsman: The Golden Circle, though, clearly Pascal's "heroic" characters aren't to be trusted.
