13 Exciting New Things Coming To Disney Parks Announced At D23 Expo
8. The Disney100 Celebration Will Begin Next Year At Disneyland
The Disney100 anniversary will begin in January 2023 at Disneyland.
To celebrate the 100 years of the Walt Disney Company, Disneyland is pulling out all the stops for a limited time. New decorations will adorn the parks and we will get to see our favourite characters in new costumes. We can also expect plenty of special edition food and drinks.
At Disneyland a new firework display will be on show. The park will become the "backdrop" to "Wondrous Journeys". The show will "feature nods to all 60 Walt Disney Animation Studios films to date" and the projection displays will not be limited to the castle. “It’s a Small World” and the Rivers of America will be lit up with characters. "Wondrous Journeys" will also feature a new song "“It’s Wondrous".
Disney's California Adventure will be joining in the celebrations with a new show upon the water; "World of Color – One". The show will detail the "storytelling legacy" of Walt Disney and feature some of the Walt Disney Company's well known created characters. "World of Color – One" will also feature a brand new song within the show.
Disney have confirmed that these are not the only things we an expect from the Disney100 anniversary and they will be announcing more as we get closer to the event.
