The sequel to Stephen King’s pop culture phenomenon, The Shining, is also set for release in 2019. Published as a novel in 2013 after King spent many years resisting to create a follow up, the story tells of an adult Danny Torrence dealing with the traumas of his past at the Overlook Hotel.
Suffering from the same demons as his father, Danny struggles with anger issues and alcoholism in detriment to his shining abilities. By cleaning himself up and helping children at a local hospice, he discovers a young girl with the same power - and a shady organisation intent on getting their hands on it.
