The Question: It's known that Lex Luthor ends up with some Kryptonite in his possession, but considering that the planet Krypton exploded in the far reaches of space, how did Lex come to acquire it? The Likely Answer: This is one of the toughest ones to answer because there are myriad possible explanations: perhaps some was created in Man Of Steel's terraforming finale, or most likely, a chunk of Kryptonite somehow entered the Earth's atmosphere after the planet exploded, and Lex spared no expense sending out a team to acquire it for him. In fairness, it's entirely possible that the movie won't even properly explain where he got it from, and leave this as a plot thread for a future movie. Either way, it's just great to see the toxic green stuff kicking around in the DCEU after it sat out Man Of Steel.
