9. There's A Rare Book Series Based On Jason
Ever wondered where exactly the FBI task force came from at the start of Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday? Well, you're not alone, as there's a few strange plot gaps between the end of Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan and the ninth instalment in the franchise. Apparently though, for those that go searching hard enough, there's book adaptations that fill this void with juicy narrative content, with Friday the 13th: Church of the Divine Psychopath and Friday the 13th: Hate - Kill - Repeat in particular zeroing in on how the FBI sting is built up to at the start of the later movie and Jason's antics in between.
There's a wealth of novels out there that detail Jason in all his literary glory, with publisher Black Flame having five titles under their name that expand on the lore of Friday the 13th, and another five on Jason X alone. Of course, because we can't have nice things, they go for ridiculous money now as they're out of print.
