The Originals: Eddie Murphy's signature role (live action-wise, anyway) shot him to fame with 1984's original Oscar-nominated action comedy classic, and while the 1987 sequel wasn't anywhere near as good, it was still a solid sequel.

The Threequel: Beverly Hills Cop III slithered into cinemas in 1994 and remains one of the worst movie threequels to actually gain a theatrical release.

Everyone's here for the easy payday, the tone is considerably lighter than the last two movies, the central theme park storyline is goofy as Hell, and even Eddie Murphy eventually came out to call it "atrocious", while it landed Razzie nominations for Worst Director and Worst Remake or Sequel.

And what the Hell is that totally random George Lucas cameo about? It's super distracting...
