13 Movies You Loved As A Child (But Hate As An Adult)
6. Good Burger (1997)
Kenan and Kel got their start on Nickelodeon's All That where their work as a comedy pairing lead to them being granted their own sit-com spin-off on the channel. Such was their popularity in the 1990s, the inevitable movie soon followed, and Good Burger was everything that fans of the duo could have wished for at the time - a silly, good-natured romp filled with Kenan's cheerful naivete and Kel's rubber-faced stupidity. Fast forward nearly 20 years, however, and those very same admirers of Kenan and Kel's classic Nick show would be hard pressed in getting any enjoyment out of this laboriously slow suburban caper film. Good Burger attempted to take the Kenan and Kel formula and move it to the big screen, though at times it feels as though they literally took the script of a 20 minute episode and stretched it out over an hour and a half. Grown-ups should most definitely steer clear of this severely undercooked effort.
