9. Melissa McCarthy As Tammy - Tammy

Melissa McCarthy is a talented comic actress (even if that Oscar nomination for crapping in a sink in Bridesmaids was totally ridiculous), but lately she's been coasting far too much on the fact that she's fat. Tammy is her most egregious recent example, in which McCarthy plays, you guessed it, a boorish, crass, fat woman who falls over numerous times for the audience's apparent amusement, all the more weird because this shtick was written by McCarthy and her husband Ben Falcone, who also directs the movie. The film is on the whole depressingly unfunny, with McCarthy's character proving almost completely unlikeable for the duration, which makes the more sentimental aspects of the script fall totally flat. McCarthy just rides on the goodwill that got her to this point, but in Tammy it's not funny, it's just sad and desperate. Can someone please cast McCarthy in a role that isn't obnoxious and full of cracks about her weight now? It's incredibly groan-worthy by this point.
