10. Captain America Finally Dies In Avengers 4

Prediction: The Russo brothers have jerked fans around for long enough, so with Avengers 4 being the climax of over a decade of Marvel movies, Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) is finally going to die.

Whether he dies at the hands of Thanos or, as many fans suspect, he'll sacrifice himself to save a younger Avenger, it really feels like Evans is ready to hang things up and help usher in a new generation of frontline Marvel Cinematic Universe heroes.

After all, Cap was teased to die in both Civil War and Infinity War, so in this impossibly epic finale, what could result in a more poignant climax than the most earnest and good-hearted member of the Avengers kicking the bucket?

Why It Might Not Happen: Once again, it may be so obvious that the Russos won't do it, and Steve will either retire from the Avengers or maybe even end up transported back to the past, where he'll live out his life with Peggy Carter (Haley Atwell).
