One great little moment in Spectre was the name-dropping of 009, who is re-assigned Bond's new Aston Martin DB-10, which Bond inevitably steals for his latest adventure. We don't see 009 but it's nice to see the new movies acknowledging that other agents exist like Bond, and they could definitely take this one step further by having one show up, either as a villain (though this has already been done with Sean Bean's 006 and, assuming Silva was probably a 00 agent, Skyfall too), or most curiously as a teammate, perhaps helping Bond out of a tight spot. 00 agents have been occasionally introduced throughout Bond's lineage but usually in small parts where they're either killed off or baddies, so it'd be great to see another meaty part carved out for a name actor. Think the Brandt-type role in the Mission: Impossible movies: he's no equal to Hunt, but he helps out when the time calls for it. Though the filmmakers might worry that this would detract from Bond's overall appeal, it would be a fun way to change things up, especially if he were also part of the same team as M, Q and Moneypenny. The series could go far worse ways than establishing a team dynamic like this, with two bada** agents at its core.
