13 Upcoming Comic Book Movie Scenes Fanboys Are Craving To See

5. Thor: The Dark World €“ The Death Of Loki

loki-the-dark-world We all love Loki, and that's a scientific fact. Tom Hiddleston rocked our collective socks off in the first Thor as the God of Mischief, effortlessly stealing the film from under the nose of the more conventionally heroic lead in what was his breakout role. Since then he's been trusted with antagonist role in the biggest-grossing movie of all time, and if his crowd-pleasing antics at Comic-Con show us anything, it's that he's got a special place in all our hearts. But regardless of this love, rumours surrounding his death in Thor 2 simply won't go away. Being honest, it does make sense €“ Hiddleston's probably gone as far as he's going to go with the character (when you've been the antagonist in the highest-grossing movie of all time, where else can you go?) and he's not in Avengers 2, so this all points towards one of two things €“ banishment in the wilderness, which will require a lot of plot explanation, or the simpler option, death. If he is going to bite the dust, how he goes out remains to be seen. There are already spoilers all over the internet over the possible death of another Thor character (which appears to be such a bolted-on definite that I won't spoil it here) that might bring Loki back into the heroic fold, so who's to say he won't figure out a way to makes amends for all he's done in one big damn heroic moment? Personally, I think it'd be a fitting end for such a memorable character, even if I am the only one who holds that opinion.
