Perhaps the most pressing question surrounding Quentin Tarantino's upcoming dramatisation of the Manson Family murders is whether or not it will show the infamous slaughter of Sharon Tate and four others that occurred on August 9, 1969.

While Tarantino has never been one to flinch away from brutal violence, he's also never been one to just act out real-life drama as it happened, evidenced by his decision to rewrite history and brutally murder Hitler at the end of Inglourious Basterds.

As such, many fans are rightly convinced he's going to end his movie with Tate (Margot Robbie) turning the tables on her aggressors, by either escaping or killing them all.

While it wouldn't be an especially inventive move following the brilliant shock value of Inglorious Basterds' ending, it'd still be a clever way to avoid a "tasteless" depiction of her murder.
