13 Upcoming Movies Destined To Be Box Office Bombs
7. Why Him?
Release Date: December 25
First and foremost, this looks like a glorified straight-to-Netflix "comedy" that shouldn't even have a theatrical release, with everyone in it clearly slumming for an easy paycheck.
Next, neither James Franco nor Bryan Cranston are box office sure-things and have a share of bombs under their respective belts, and it's coming out in the same window as Rogue One, Assassin's Creed, Passengers and many others, where it'll probably end up quietly forgotten even if genre-wise they're not competing.
Are Christmas Day audiences going to want to see one of the aforementioned blockbusters or a rather limp-looking romantic comedy? It's basic maths.
Estimated Box Office: $16 million (approx $25 million budget).
