There are few actors in Hollywood with as much charisma and screen presence as Hugh Jackman, but The Rock sure as Hell is one of them, and the prospect of him appearing as a larger-than-life comic book character is almost too delicious for words.

That's right, Dwayne Johnson is lined up to play the supervillain, who will appear here as a re-worked anti-hero much like his more recent comic book portrayals. There's still so much up in the air here, especially with no writer or director yet in place, but if Black Adam fully capitalises on The Rock's perfect casting here, it could be a total blast.

And even if it's not quite as good as Logan, you can bet that Johnson's box office appeal could help it blow past Logan's impressive $606.2 million haul.
