6. Gambit

Though there aren't many comic book characters as beloved as Wolverine, he's got pretty damn stiff competition from Gambit, a classic X-Men character who, incredulously, never made it into Bryan Singer's X-Men films (and let's not talk about his brief stint in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, as played by Taylor Kitsch).

Even though the Gambit solo film has suffered some unfortunate delays, Channing Tatum remains committed to star, which is pretty damn fantastic casting, and crucially, the treatment off which the script will be based was written by legendary X-Men comic book writer Chris Claremont.
