13 Worst Decisions Hollywood Has Made In 2017 (So Far)

6. The Uncharted Movie Will Be A Prequel

A film adaptation of the classic Uncharted video game franchise has been in the works for years under various directors and stars, but it seems to be finally moving forward with the recent announcement that the film will in fact be a prequel focusing on a younger Nathan Drake, with Spider-Man himself, Tom Holland, playing the lead role.

The movie will apparently draw inspiration from the prequel sequences of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, which showed a young Drake meeting his pal Sully. Though Holland is a fine choice if they're going in this direction, it still feels like a cop-out as most fans surely wanted to see an adult Drake doing his thing.

While it's entirely possible that later movies in this inevitable franchise could recast the character as an adult, it still seems rather ill-advised to take a relatively minor portion of the series and spin it off in such grandiose fashion. This isn't what most fans want.
