14 Announced Movies That Are Never Coming Out
5. The Crow Reborn
A remake/reboot of the Brandon Lee-starring 1994 gothic thriller The Crow has been in development since 2008, with Stephen Norrington (Blade) first attached to direct.
Norrington eventually left and Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later) replaced him in 2011, with Bradley Cooper being courted to play the title role. Fresnadillo and Cooper both left as pre-production got wrapped up in legal disputes, and F. Javier GutiƩrrez (Rings) was the next directorial hire.
Luke Evans then signed on to replace Cooper, and Corin Hardy (The Nun) replaced a departing GutiƩrrez. Evans left, Jack Huston replaced him and promptly quit amid scheduling issues, and Jason Momoa then signed on to play him. Did you follow all that?
Then the worst blow of all came: both Hardy and Momoa quit the film this past May, and it doesn't take much reading between the lines to see this as a doomed production with no clear direction moving forward.
Just let it die.
