9. Finger Lickin' Good - Killer Joe

William Friedkin's 2011 thriller boasts one of Matthew McConaughey's best performances as corrupt detective Joe Cooper, topped off by an utterly revolting climax you'll probably need to watch throw splayed fingers.

The sequence sees Joe confronting the duplicitous Sharla (Gina Gershon), who he punches in the face, before grabbing a chicken drumstick, dangling it in front of his crotch and instructing her to "suck this".

Sharla initially refuses, but after he threatens her ("I will cut your face off and wear it over my own"), she complies, sucking on the drumstick while Joe reels off instructions, such as to moan and to grab his a**.

Sure, you might be too shocked to actually cringe, but the sheer unpleasantness of the scene bleeds right off the screen, aided by some stomach-churning sound effects (you can actually hear the greasy chicken sliding around Gershon's mouth if you listen closely enough).

It's enough to put you off KFC for a few days at least, that's for sure.
